Waterloo Road

I have just watched the whole of the show on BBC1 at 8.00 to 8.30, i was ask to try and see if i could show the differnce between the different class type in the school. I will be consentrating on the difference between to teachers, the teachrs are,

Grantly Budgen played by Philip Martin Brown, who is a English teacher and former head of English.

And i will be showing the diiference between him and

Ruby Fry played by Elizabeth Berrington, who is a food tech teacher.

I wil show the main reason why i found them very funny to watch in this show and also thow they seems to dislike and disagree with each other.

Firstly i will start with Grantly who is a very funny and very grummpy charater. I would say he is a typical old grummpy grandad who moan about every thing and just wants to do what he wants to do.



In this show he was first seen like alway moaning about other people and taking the miky also. He is then draffed into do the judging of the tallent show. he even goes up to the baord and moan that there have to be atleast 50 name and he say how he will be there for ever. The next time you see him he is eating his lunch as some students are setting up the tables and stage for the tallent contest and he say to Miss fry as she calls him over and asked what he was doing telling the students to do the work when he should he say it is deligation and he is trying to eat his lunch in peace and quiet. In the next pans of Grantly he is slumped and also falling asleep as the people in the contest are said to leave one after another and then he says to one boy get off before he started. He was shocked though by a girl that he said should be playing R&B with her flute but as she starts and then he comment in a very shocking way for the other judges as he say it was fantastic, as he has a little tear come down. Back in the staff room he show both side to him self as he say all staff will be in the show and then he say how he did cry a little but he did call her some thing like a dimwit and she is not change by being good with a flute.

Next i will show how Miss Fry is very diiferent to grummpy Grantly. I think she is possibly one of the most nomall charater asept from she is a little bit nuts in the view that she seems alway a bit over the top in cleaness and also she is always trying to be happy. This is what i think is a typical middle classed person.



The fist time you see Miss Fry she butts into a covisation to say that Max is a great person and would never hurt his reputation. She is then see in the Tallent show room saying to the student what they are doing setting up the tables and are they auditioning f in the tallent show but as they say that Grantly siad they could be judges she gets the hump and that is show all they way though the pans when she find the show terrible. She is has a little glint in her eye as she sees the flute player start. She is then seen in the corridor talking to Max saying how his reputatiin maybe threatented by what people are saying. Miss Fry is seen for the final time in the staff room say how all of the staff will be in a show and then saying how Grantly cried after the flute player.
