Films copy what is happening around England. like if they are at war with Russia they will use a ruusain charater to be the bady in a film like james bond. Or if a new thing has been open by the help from another nation like in soomers town they show that but they can also go back on this to show the highlights of the past.
It then goes on to say about the different directors and what they have done.

Once upon a time in the west , notes
First you see a man drawing with chalk on a black board.
Then it cuts to the door which slowly open. ( this creates suspence)
Then a black cow boy enters the frame after a slow pan upwards. ( this also creats suspence and it is every wierd becasue going by tradition black cow boys where not usuallly used in these type of films)
Then there is a long pan which shows more cowboys covering any exits. ( this creats the affect of entrapment and no way out as the cleaner is grab at the last moment to stop her ecape aswell)

Heavy footsteps - this coupled with a few other things make the cowboy seem powerful
Creeking door - this creats tension and also scared becasue you dont know what is behind the door (The unknow)
Wind - Builds tension and makes it seems desolate and makes the old boy seems vunrable

Clalk - makes you cringe and it is also uncomftable

Final cut what i have learned update.
I have learned a few more things from fridays lesson. i have learn more stuff abnout fnal cut but all ready knew how to do these skills from premier pro. like how to cut a clip up and how to move it. i really did not experiment much in the lesson as we just tried to get the music and the video to time together which we found hard as non of us are very musical.

No contry for old men
The film starts with long sweeps on the desolate hills and feilds. This makes it seem very isolating because there is no where to hide.
It then cuts to a man gettting put into a Police car. This raises the first Questions, What has he done wrong.
Then it cuts to the Police station and the copper on the phone with the man in the backround, the man then gets up and strangles the cop to death. this makes you think he is a pshyco and he must have done some think very bad to do that so he can get away.
After the death he washes his hand. This raises the questions that he seems to know what he is doing.
The pshyco then drives in the police car and follows and pulls over a person in a car. The 'cop' gets out of the car holding a oxygen tank. Which raises another question which is why has he got the oxygen tank. he then tells the person to get out of the car which he does. he is then shot by the oxygen tank with compressed air which kills him.
It then cuts to a new charater which has a sniper scope aimed at a gazell. He fires and he starts to follow the blood, but he comes a cross a different blood trail which he find to be from a dog. he then follows the trail from the dog the other way. This raises a New question, Why is the dog hurt?
He then goes over a hill and sees four or five trucks with blood splated all over them. plus there is lots of dead bodies and dead dogs all over the ground. This answer the last Q but creates a new Q, Why are these people dead?
The person looks in a few of the trucks and there is a lots of ammo on the seat to show a over the top amont of shooting. he then looks in a truck with a murky window and see a man dieing. he does no help but he doesd loot the ammo from him. he then looks in the back of the truck and sees lots of drugs which answers the last Q.
The last peice you see is the amont of dark cloud gavering and then a sudden gut of wind which seems to show that some think bad is about to happen.

The way it is a tyipical thriller is very easy to spot for me. most thrillers normally have a death or a series of deaths. like final destination or they have a fight sense like james bond. they do have other things like car chases like in transporter. this film has a death and a few more dead people it raises Question a lot. like why has the man got a gas tank or why is the dog injuried. all of these are answered in the film but some are also clues to the ending and the story line. most thriller films have a big twist but this is normally near the latter stages of the film to make you think what is going to happen. some of these films like final destination have a couple twist in the film. Also thriller films are normally quite jumpy. so they can scare you but not in a gorey way like a horror. comedy and thriller normally goes to gether very well becasue it is easy to make some grusome things funny like in 'Sean and the Dead'.

Final cut express
I have learnt lots about this programe.
1. I know how to capture a section of a film, to start the caption you have to press 'I' and to end the caption you have to 'O'.
2. I know what the basic things do like the browers. This is a area where you sort all of the film clip. The window next to that on the right is called the Viewer where you view all of the film you have captured and desiged what parts do you want to keep. the next one on the right is the window where you can see what you have done so far and see what things you might have to do before you say you have done.
3. Also i have learnt how to create a bin. a bin is like a flolder but it is named diffrently.

Media Home work on Thriller films
Thriller means-a suspenseful adventure story or play or movie
My top 5 thriller films-
1. Final destination 4 The final desination in 3D
2. Minority Report
3. Die hard
4. xXx
5. Deep Blue Sea
My favorite Thriller film is Deep Blue Sea. it is a film about three great white sharks. they are pinned in a of shore cage / research center. the people who run the center are messing with the sharks brains. they then see that the skarks are gain brilliant inteigences like swimming backwards which sharks can not do. the sharks then try to ecape. but the people know they can not let them but at the same time the people are running or swimming for there lifes. my favorite part of the film is where sammual jackson is giving a moral boosting speech as a shark come from the water behide him and gobbles him up. the film has got a happy as two people survive and all of the sharks get blow up gust as they are about to ecape to the sea and freedom.

Thriller film have may simurlarities like SURPRISING THE AUDEINCE by changing the story line or by killing some one suddenly with no clues. some of these film do have clues but no enought to guess what is going to happen and it normally also shocks you by the way the person dies or who dies. Also most thrillers have commen start sequnce. a death or fight or maybe with animals they have unnormall behavor from the animal like high levels of intelligence or trying to get out of the cage. or they show low levels of intelligence from human which puts them in danger. there is one more thing i think. it is there is normally a good side and a bad side. it could be a crimnal or a monter or a a deadly animal like a shark. bu the biggest clue to danger is the music like the doo do doo do doo do do dod dodododododo which is on jaws.
