Once upon a time in the west , notes

First you see a man drawing with chalk on a black board.
Then it cuts to the door which slowly open. ( this creates suspence)
Then a black cow boy enters the frame after a slow pan upwards. ( this also creats suspence and it is every wierd becasue going by tradition black cow boys where not usuallly used in these type of films)
Then there is a long pan which shows more cowboys covering any exits. ( this creats the affect of entrapment and no way out as the cleaner is grab at the last moment to stop her ecape aswell)

Sounds

digetic sounds

Heavy footsteps - this coupled with a few other things make the cowboy seem powerful
Creeking door - this creats tension and also scared becasue you dont know what is behind the door (The unknow)
Wind - Builds tension and makes it seems desolate and makes the old boy seems vunrable
Bird - Scared
Clalk - makes you cringe and it is also uncomftable

Visual

Cowboy is sybolised by
The gun
hat
clothes
and boots

the other man is sybolised as a ticker collector by

His clothes
and his hat

Camera angles

The cowboy is all ways show from low down to show power and strengh. also they are mainly show by a slow pan. this creat tension

The other old boy is show from up high to show weekness and vunrabilty. also there is no short off pan to show him, it just cuts straight to him.

That is all Tyler
